Faculty Professional Development for the week of Nov. 27- Dec. 1

Instructional Model - Data Sweeps will take place all week as a method to determine the extent of use of four instructional approaches by teachers in Pulaski County Schools.  School administrators from across the county will conduct quick walk-through (<2 min.) observations of each instructional space to determine the instructional approach being utilized by the teaching staff. 


PCHS' One Act Team advances to the State Championship after winning first place in the Regional Competition on Saturday, November 18.  Their performance of You Don't Know Jack is a new original musical based upon the Jack Tales.  Mr. Jeff McCoy is competing for his third state title at Monticello High School on December 5th - break a leg!

Attention Cougars: The Leo Club will be accepting donations of gently used women and children's clothing.  all donations will go to the Women's Resource Center.  Business and professional clothing is preferred.

NHS Canned Food Drive brought in over 1,400 items in only 5 days.  Congratulations to the winners.

NHS Canned Food Drive will take place from Monday, Nov. 13th to Friday, Nov. 17thThe NHS wants to make this a friendly competition, so the 2nd block/3rd period class who donates the largest amount will receive a pizza party and the 2nd place class will receive a cookie party!

    Congratulations to the PCHS Theatre Arts Department for winning FIRST PLACE at the Region 4-D Sectional One Act Festival. They had a ranking of Four winning rankings by three points and cumulative points by 15 points over Blacksburg. One of the judges even invited them to perform at her theatre company in Winchester. The play moves on to Super-Regionals in Charlottesville November 18. 

    Congratulations to Garret Vance for winning second place at the at Shelor Growing The Future Talent Show on Saturday at Christiansburg High School.


    The PCHS Child-care program took time on Halloween to collect goodies across campus.
