    • SOL Reading Expedited Retakes and Make-up Testing
    • English 9 CIP benchmark testing

  • 12/18, Tues: 
    • SOL Math Expedited Retakes and Make-up Testing

    • English 9 CIP benchmark testing (alternate date)
    • Teacher's January 3rd Professional Development sign-up deadline, @3PM
  • 12/19, Wed:
    • SOL Science Expedited Retakes and Make-up Testing
      • Students taking a Science SOL on this day will have the option of being exempt from their 2nd & 4th block assessments, unless required for industry credential/AP/Dual Enrollment purposes.  Students may choose to take their assessments even if they qualify for an exemption.
    • Final Assessments given for Blocks 2 & 4 only
      • Including CIP benchmark testing for Alg1 and Geom1 year-long classes during 2nd & 4th block classes
    • Regular daily schedule - No Extension
    • Winter Sports Pictures, @3:30, Gymnasium
  • 12/20, Thurs: 
    • Final Assessments given for Blocks 1 & 3 only
      • Including CIP benchmark testing for Alg1 and Geom1 year-long classes during 1st & 3rd block classes
    • 2 Hour Early Release schedule with Extension (NO 2CB)
      • No 2nd lunch:  
        • Math classes assigned normally assigned to second lunch will eat during 1st lunch
        • Foreign Language and Science normally assigned to second lunch will eat during 3rd lunch
    • Drama: Almost Maine, @7PM, Little Theater
  • 12/21, Fri: 
    • No School - first day of winter break
    • Students return Monday, January 7

Faculty Professional Development for the week of Dec. 17-21


Boys and Girls State applications are being accepted from 11th grade students until December 17th. Boys and Girls State is a 6 day summer residential program sponsored by the American Legion.  Per committee review, students will be selected based upon qualities of leadership, character, honesty, and interest in government/politics/legislative process.  Please stop by the school counseling office to pick up an application.  See Ms. Pratt if you have questions.

The Governors School information session for that was originally scheduled for December 13th has been postponed until January, 2019
    End of Course Assessment Exam Exemption Policy
    Students will be exempt from end-of-course assessments if they have missed no more than 3 days per block course, 6 days per year long course (excluding school activities) and have earned a B (80%) prior to the scheduled final assessment.
